DISCUSSION
The objective of the discussion was to identify who are the key partners and key suppliers of the business with the Ms. Yvette Kayle G. Mariano leading the meeting. The members of the group determined the four types of partnerships: Strategic alliances between non-competitors, Coopetition, Joint Ventures to develop new businesses and Buyer-supplier relationships.
The members picked to types of partnership that is applicable to the key partners (Supplier and part-time construction workers) and these are joint ventures and buyer-supplier relationships. It was decided to have Alibaba as the key supplier. Physical and human resources will be acquired from the partners. Production and problem solving will be the activities that the partners will perform for the business.
CONCLUSION
1. Who are our Key Partners?
The business has to two key partners whom are the part-time construction workers and the supplier.
Joint venture is the perfect partnership for the business and part-time construction workers because joining with each other will create more opportunities and is more profitable.
Buyer-supplier relationship is appropriate for the business since the business will only have one key supplier and building strong relationship with that supplier is more advantageous for the company.
2. Who are our key suppliers?
The key supplier will be Alibaba. Why Alibaba? It is because it offers strong brand, massive sale volume and affordable price.
3. Which Key Resources are we acquiring from partners?
Physical and human resources will be acquired from the key partners. Physical resources are for the supplier because of the raw materials and production of goods. Human resources are for the part-time construction workers because of the labor.
4. Which Key Activities do partners perform for us?
Production and problem solving are the key activities that partners will perform for the business. Production is for the supplier because of the same reason from question number 3. Problem solving for the part-time construction workers because just like the homeowners and consumers, they will have their own problems that needs solution and this way the business will be able to maintain its partnership with construction workers.
